Outlander Kitchen - The Official Outlander Companion Cookbook - 4.5 Stars
Tammie King here. I'm taking over the cookbook column for just one month while Pamela takes a short break. She will be back next month with another cookbook review for you. In the mean time let me share the "Outlander Kitchen" cookbook with you.
This incredible cookbook is for fans of "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon or just those who want some historical dishes. I personally love the cover and salivated over the Strawberry Tarts. YUMMM. This book will take you on a highland adventure via your eyes and when cooking your taste buds and nose. I love a good dessert and this book includes lots of them. If you like scones, don't miss out on the Cinnamon variety with drizzle on top. Plus you can make Apple Fritters, Chocolate Biscuits and Dark Chocolate Lavender Fudge.
For those of you with a more savory outlook there are Cheese Savories, Rolls with Pigeon, and Briannna's bridies. This book looks to have over 100 Scottish recipes. Plus Diana Gabaldon has done the forward.
The book comes in hardback with thick paper pages and fabulous mouthwatering photos. Once you have this book you might just turn into a cooking fiend.
This is a great cookbook for anyone's shelf as it has recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and don't forget the desert.
