Ruby's Ghost

I really enjoyed reading Ms. Husk’s paranormal story and I felt her characters were completely believable in my eyes. I loved how she wrapped this story around the love triangle between Tate, Ruby and Eloise. I especially loved how she molded Eloise to be a simple girl with simple tastes. The one person I truly felt sorry for was Tate because he became the guy that both Ruby and Eloise were fighting for. Now to some people, that might sound like a bonus – having two females vying for your love and attention, but in this case, I really wanted to see Tate with the best girl that would satisfy his needs too. Overall, I had fun reading this paranormal story and I’ll definitely look for other stories already published by this author.

Tate and Ruby are at another party in which Ruby wants to drink and dance all night, but Tate realizes that this isn’t his scene anymore. He feels that it’s time for him to finally move on. Tate has been deciding to break up with Ruby for some time, but tonight just seems to be the breaking point for him. They need to both move on and fulfill their hopes and desires and obviously, that won’t happen if they continue dating each other. Finally telling Ruby how he feels and ending it with her that evening, he does the right thing by offering her a ride home on his motorcycle because she’s drunk. Never does either one of them plan on getting into a life and death accident in which both of their lives are now hanging in the balance. Do Tate and Ruby survive the accident? Where does Eloise fit into this tangled web of confusion?

Book Blurb for Ruby's Ghost

Breaking up is hard to survive.

One moment, Tate Cooper is giving his ex-girlfriend a lift home on his motorcycle. The next, his soul is suspended between life and death, wandering in confusion between the accident scene and the house he grew up in.

Except it’s not his home anymore. In his old bedroom sleeps a beautiful young woman, the only person who can see him. And the only person who can keep him from succumbing to the temptation to escape the horrific pain awaiting him in his mortal body.

Eloise Jones should be studying for her college exams, but it’s tough to stay focused when a lost soul keeps appearing in her room. She figures it must have something to do with sirens she heard screaming in the night, but she’s helpless to assist—and helpless to resist.

As Eloise tries to help Tate unravel the tangled facts surrounding the accident, longing and desire grow into an almost tangible bond between them. But then a second spirit appears, one with a darker intent that could separate them before love draws its first breath…

Warning: Contains a vengeful ex and a romance that crosses the boundary between life and death.
