This is the eighth installment in Ms. Warren's Others series. Years ago she released a similar story called Fur Play and this is a rewrite of that. This is a wonderful series and I’m thrilled to see these books being redone and expanded. Ms. Warren has merged the human world and the Others world in a way that it all feels very real.
Hungry Like a Wolf is seamlessly told and readers are in for a supernatural treat. You are going to love the characters of Honor and Logan. Warren has built the world of the Others and it’s a cool place to live, if you are on their good side. Pick-up this book to continue the series and get another glimpse into an awesomely created and intricate world.
How I wish that more books like this would be released. I have my hopes set that there will be more books in this series, but according to Ms. Warren's website the series is in "hibernation". I love these books and look forward to the time when there will be more. In the meantime I’m looking forward to whatever Ms. Warren has in store for us.
Honor Tate has been her father's beta since she was fourteen years old. With the death of the pack alpha, her father, Honor steps up to take her father’s place as alpha. It is rare that a female is named as an alpha. In order to keep her status as alpha she has to fight men she has known since childhood and also fight her friends. If Honor can get the alpha of the Sliverback clan to approve her as alpha the fighting will stop. Instead of the Sliverback alpha she is sent his beta, second in command, to determine if she is fit to become the alpha.
Logan Hunter is an alpha in his own right, but for now he is content with his status as beta. He thought he had found the woman that was to be his mate. The only problem is she is mated to not only his alpha but also his best friend. Logan's job is to find out if Honor has what it takes to be the alpha of her pack. When Logan gets to Connecticut he finds more than he bargained for. What he finds is a mate. Will an alpha like Logan be able to become a mate to a female alpha?
When her father died, Honor Tate inherited the alpha position for a pack of werewolves based in New England. But why her? Honor would have rather just lived a “normal” life, with the occasional run through the woods in her furry suit. Still, Honor was raised to put the welfare of the pack first…and now it’s time to make a formal request that the alpha of the Silverback clan—the pack to which all locals owe fealty—recognize her as alpha of the White Paw. But instead of sending his support, the Silverbacks send Logan Hunter.
Logan Hunter would do anything to protect the Silverbacks—but his devotion comes with a price. For years he has been fighting his alpha instincts and the need for his own pack. But all that changes when Logan is sent on a mission to find out whether the new White Paw alpha really has what it takes to carry on her father’s legacy. Powerful, spirited, and downright gorgeous Honor exceeds his expectations…and leaves him howling for more. Could it be that he’s finally found his alpha mate? Or will old enemies, dueling loyalties, and an appetite for destruction stop him dead in his tracks?
