Carol Woods came to Silvertown to work as a nurse in the local hospital. She keeps getting turned down for a job, because unknown to her at that time Silvertown is a town ran by werewolfs. During a battle Carol is bitten by a red wolf and turned. The pack leader takes Carol into his home until she learns to control the change and picks a mate. Carol's psychic ability allows her to control the change. Ryan McKinley is the pack leader for the Gray wolf pack in Green Valley. Ryan is a P.I. and met Carol five months ago. He was investigating a murder case that involved someone from the Silvertown pack. With Carols help he was able to solve the case. But he does not believe that Carol is psychic. Ryan finds himself drawn to Carol but he can't figure out why. All he knows is that he needs to be near her. Carol refuses to shift to her wolf form. She has been having visions of people changing to their wolf form and being unable to change back. She is finding it hard to convince the pack leader in what she sees in her visions.

This is the sixth installment in Ms. Spear's werewolf series. Their story is a terrific suspense and there is enough action to keep a reader fascinated and interested. You will find yourself rooting for Carol and Ryan to get their happy ending. Ms. Spear brings back charters from the earlier stories; it is just like coming home again and seeing old friends.
