The Diva Steals a Chocolate Kiss

A Domestic Diva Mystery, #9

The Diva is back and better than ever! In her n inth outing, Krista Davis once again brings us back to Old Town and the characters we have grown to love: Sophie Winston, her BFF Nina, ex-husband Mars and her childhood friend and rival Natasha (whom I would personally love to strangle but that’s another story). Sophie is helping a local chocolatier prepare for their 50th anniversary. Along the way she’s receiving mysterious boxes of chocolate, the head of the chocolate business goes missing, and two dead bodies turn up. Just another day in Old Town.

Returning fans will love the interaction between Sophie and her crew of admirers: ex-husband Mars, ex-boyfriend Wolf, and new boyfriend Alex. The mystery is intriguing and I love Krista’s descriptions of food, particularly Natasha’s (chocolate chip cookies with blue cheese? Really). Davis has a knack for making her characters come alive in both this series and her Paws and Claws series. The mystery took a turn I didn't expect, and I'm salivating for the next one! The only thing that would make life perfect would be Mars throwing Natasha out….. Definite Five Paws! – ROCCO LOTEMPIO
