Must Worship Cats

Miracle Interrupted, #1

Let’s start off with the fact that I loved this book. I think Ms. Ramer has visited my home and interviewed my cats. She must have studied them for quite some time to get a cat's attitude down so well. Either that or she must live with a cat or two herself.

This story precedes Miracle Lane and Stardust Miracles and tells the history of how “Cat” came to find and claim her Human. This is a delightful novella that any slave to a four legged family member will identify with.

Cat arrives in Miracle from Milwaukee, Wisconsin following the death of her human. She soon escapes and goes in search of a place she can call home. While in this search Cat tells us about many of the residents of Miracle, with a population of less than 700. It is a small town with a big heart. Cat points out the good and kind-hearted along with the bad and evil minded.

There is a scene that will shock and appall you, but each of us has either heard or seen it in our own lives. With only 70 pages, Must Worship Cats delivers a fast paced story that will capture your heart from the beginning. Any cat lover that reads this novella will adore the story that is told from Cat's point of view and for once we do not have to guess what the animals are thinking and saying because Edie Ramer is kind enough to tell us. You cannot help but laugh through most of the story although you will cry at least once and sigh with contentment at the end. Join Cat as she explores Miracle and searches for her forever home. I wish I was a cat as smart and as brave as Cat.

Once again Ms. Ramer has given us a story that delights her readers and I for one cannot wait to see what comes next. The order of the Miracle Interrupted series is Must Worship Cats, Stardust Miracles, Miracle Lane, and Miracle Pie. As of the writing of this review the next one will be Mo's Heart. Each and every one of these stories is well worth the time to read and are very reasonably priced. If you are into paranormal sweets, Edie Ramer can supply a novel to meet those needs. She is a versatile writer. Ms. Ramer throws herself into her novels and provides her readers with rich and entertaining stories. Whatever you choose to read you will not be disappointed.
